Sharon Bee


 

Sharon is a classically trained (Bachelor Music Performance and ARCT) professional musician and composer, interested in all styles of music. She has many years of experience as a piano and music theory teacher.

  • Lessons emphasize the enjoyment of music and performing as well as creative exercises in composition and theory.
  • Preparation for Royal Conservatory exams and Kiwanis Music Festival.
  • Private lessons, all ages and levels, from beginners to teachers' level.
  • Students use Royal Conservatory books as a core and then do popular and jazz music and also have improvisation exercises in lessons.

  • There are many opportunities for Sharon's student's to perform

  • Two recitals per year, one at Christmas and one at the end of the school year plus a rehearsal for each recital

  • Sharon's Classical Training
    Sharon has had extensive and highly advanced training with some of the finest pianists in the world. She began studying music with Bill Shelby in Don Mills then studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music, University of Toronto, with Boyanna Toyich Toyich was a student of the Canadian concert pianist Anton Kuerti . Sharon went on to study at the University of Western Ontario with the acclaimed concert pianist Peter Katin . Also while at Western she studied Piano Pedagogy with John Paul Bracey and piano accompaniment with the Canadian concert pianist Ronald Turini who was a student of the famed pianist Vladimir Horowitz .

    Sharon received her Bachelor of music with Honours in Piano Performance from the University of Western ontario and her Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Music (ARCT) - Piano Performance. She is an active member of both the Ontario Registered Teacher's Association and a member of the American Federation of Musicians, London Branch.
